Designing the Best Weight Loss Strategy

This is the second part of complete weight loss guide which explains the practical aspects of weight loss problem, correct mindset for weight loss, devising the best weight loss strategy and followup of the strategy for long term healty and fit living. Loosing Weight is a tough problem for lot of people. The Problem lingers on due to wrong mindset of people towards weight loss and also not devising and following the correct weight loss strategy. I have explained in detailed the correct weight loss mindset in Part 1 of this guide which you can read above. In this article I would try to explain the method I personally used for designing my Weight Loss Strategy. So read on and do give me your feedback.

Weight Loss Strategy & Its Components

There are various ways in which you can loose weight like through exercise, jogging, yoga, diet pills, food dieting etc. We call these methods of weight loss as Weight Loss Strategy Components or Components for short. You should incorporate as many of these components in you weight loss strategy as possible to increase your chances of loosing weight consistently and to keep you interested and not get bored with your weight loss schedule. Let me explain a bit more

You can loose weight in a variety of ways which we call "Weight Loss Strategy Components" or components in short. These components become part of your weight loss schedule. You can loose weight by following any of the weight loss strategy components like exercise, healthy diet, yoga, weight loss supplements & diet pills, weight loss aids like sauna suit etc. When I say you should incorporate many of these components in your weight loss schedule that means your weight loss schedule should comprise of multiple rotating components to increase your chances of weight loss. For eg. your weight loss schedule may consist of exercise + diet + supplements or yoga + exercise etc. The choice of components depend on you and what suits you.

What Do You mean By Rotating Weight Loss Component Strategy?

Many of you would have seen the TV show "Biggest Loser Wins" where weight loss trainers train a bunch of people to loose weight by following their methods and the person who looses most weight as a %age of overall weight wins the contest. If you analyse the show carefully you would see that one person never becomes biggest weight looser consicutively for two weeks or even if a person is not the biggest looser in last week its really difficult to loose weight consistently for two consicutive weeks. Whey does this happen?

The reason for this is following the same weight loss strategy every week. If a person hits a gym on a week on week basis the first couple of weeks he may loose weight but every consicutive week the weight loss decreases and so does his interest in hitting the gym and slowly he devil in his mind makes him quit gym and he is back to square one and will even regain the weight he has lost due to his hard work.

To reduce the chances of menta fatigue happening in our weight loss strategy. We should incorporate multiple components as advised earlier and we should rotate the component to keep our mind interested. Let me give you an example of a Rotating Component Weight Loss Strategy.

Week 1

Exercise - Gym - 1 hour
Proper Diet (more vegetables+milk)
Natural Supplement

Week 2
Exercise - Gym - 15 mins
Exercise - Jogging - 45 mins
Proper Diet
Natural Supplement

Week 3
Exercise - Gym - 15 mins
Exercise - Jogging - 30 mins
Yoga - 30 mins
Proper Diet
Natural Supplement

Week 4
Exercise - Gym - 45 mins
Exercise - Yoga - 15 mins
Proper Diet
Natural Supplement

.....

If you see the weight loss strategy devised above we try to rotate the weight loss component which required our effort to keep the mind interested and increase the chances of faster and consistent weight loss. Do not copy the above strategy which is only a off the cuff example and may not be suited for practical purposes. But you get the general idea instead of this strategy if we keep only gym for 1 hour as a part of our exercise routine, we may get bored to follow the routine as our mind does not like routine work and further if the weight loss does not happen then the chances of our quitting the strategy is much higher. So try to rotate things and keep your mind interested in your weight loss strategy.

Why can't I go with one weight loss strategy component only?

If you go with one weight loss component in your strategy like only taking one diet pill as part of your weight loss strategy you may not get the results that your desire beacuse you will not see any major change in short term and the chances of you abandoning the weight loss strategy midway is very high.

So, Go! now and design your basic Weight Loss Strategy incorporating at many Weight Loss Components as possible to make it interesting as well as fruitful for your weight loss goals. Remember, Weight Loss is not the ultimate goal but a path to a Healthy & Fit Lifestyle.
